1.Tea bags:

2.Honey:

Honey is an antibacterial element that ends the harmful bacteria that damage the eyes.
The direct impact of the antibacterial found in the honey occurs on the peripheral angle, which removes tears and meibum related diseases.For better results use plum honey and organic honey.

  • Mix well enough honey and pure water. Put it on your eyes with the help of a clean cotton piece. Repeat this process 2 to 3 times a day until the infection is completely removed.

4.Breast milk:

This remedy is most effective and safe. Breast milk contains antibodies, immunoglobulin E, which specifically kills harmful bacteria in the eyes by keeping the eye layer safe.

. Take a few breasts milk in a cup.
. With the help of a clean eyedropper insert 2 to 3 stems of breast milk in the infected eye.
. Repeat every 2 to 3 hours on the need for this process.
*Breast milk is considered most effective for the infections of eyes in young children or in infants.

5.Flaxseed:

Flaxseed is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids. Those Omega 3s can help stimulate your immune system and in turn, help you ward off infections. To use, boil about a half cup of water and add about an ounce of bruised flaxseed. Allow that mixture to steep for at least twenty minutes. Strain off any excess liquid (there probably won’t be much) and put that warmed flaxseed onto a clean cloth or some cheesecloth and apply to the inflamed eye. This can be done up to three times per day until your symptoms have subsided. You should notice an almost immediate relief from pain and inflammation using this method.

NOTE: Since there haven’t been enough studies to show the effects of flaxseed on a fetus, it’s not recommended that you use flaxseed when you’re pregnant.

6.Aloe vera:

Aloe vera removes pink eyes and its associated symptoms with the properties of its antiseptic. Remove the gel from the Aloe Vera plant and put it in fresh water. Mix it well and put it in your eyes with the help of a dropper to wash the mixture. Falling water from the eye, use this treatment 3 to 4 times a day.

7.Jasmine:

Making jasmine water is a lot easier than it sounds, and it smells absolutely divine! All you need to do is fill a clean glass mason jar with boiled water (distilled would work just as well) and throw in a handful of jasmine flowers (about ten). Cover the jar and allow the solution to blend overnight. The next day, all you need to do is stir the solution around and voila!

You can use the jasmine water just as you would eye drops – Use one to three times per day for three days.

8.Baby Shampoo:

I have quite a few friends that have used this method to help their kids get over their pink eye – Some say it works great, others say that it doesn’t seem to help at all. If you’ve tried everything else on this list out and you still haven’t found anything that works, you might want to give it a shot.

All you need to do is dilute some no-tear baby shampoo in some water. Then – using a clean washcloth or cotton ball – apply the solution to the eye.

9.Raw Potatoes Poultice:

Commonly found in all households, the humble potato has a natural astringent property that reduces the soreness of the eyes and eases the pain and irritation. You may slice or grate the potato for application with the suggested steps –

  • Wash the potato and cut a thin slice. Place a slice of raw potato over the affected eyes.
  • You may grate the potato and place on the closed eyes and leave it for 5-10 minutes.
  • Cut a fresh slice each time it is applied and repeat several times a day.

10.saltwater compress:

This is one of the effective home remedies for eye infections of almost all the types. We have been using salt to disinfect many things and today we will see how saline water can treat an eye infection. It definitely is the simplest of all the home remedies for an eye infection. Take a cup of filtered water and boil it. Add a tablespoon of water to the boiling water. Once the salt mixes well in the water, let the solution cool down.
